WHEN DOES A WATER HEATER NEEDS REPLACEMENT?

This question is usually answered simply by factoring in age and history
AGE: Most water heaters should be replaced by 12 years and over.
LEAKING: Most water heaters that leak cannot be repaired.
LACK OF MAINTENANCE: Water heaters not flushed (maintained) may only be working at only 75% efficiently or less.
UPGRADE: It’s a good idea to upgrade to a more efficient model, many new tank type water heaters offer an average of 25% or better more efficiency than older models and tankless up to 50% more efficiency.
RELOCATION: Get extra needed space or remodeling.
